This knife block set is part of the Wüsthof Classic range of fully forged knives made in Germany/Solingen. All knives are made with high-carbon stainless steel.

The 3" (8cm) paring knife has a straight edge blade which offers close control when peeling, mincing and dicing. The 4" (10cm) paring knife is very versatile, it can be used for mincing shallots, onions and herbs, as well as cleaning and cutting vegetables. The 9" (23cm) bread knife has a new double serrated edge which gives the knife a longer-lasting performance and sharpness of the serrated edge. It also means that there is less pressure required when cutting and allows for smooth cuts to be made, so you can avoid ripping and tearing. The 6 1/4" (16cm) carving fork has straight tines giving you a good hold on most things, as well as to test if your food is ready. The 9" (23cm) sharpening steel has a hard, chromium-plated surface with a medium hardness of 65 HRC. The 5 1/2" (14cm) sausage knife has a serrated edge making it the perfect choice for slicing bread rolls and bagels, as well as hard salami and even the ripest tomatoes. The 9" (23cm) carving knife is perfect for slicing through large joints of meat and roasts. The 6 3/4" (17cm) santoku knife is styled after the Japanese cook's knife, making this blade just right for preparing not only fine Asian cuisine, but also Western cuisine. Forged from a single piece of chromium-molybdenum-vanadium blade steel (X50 Cr MoV 15). The blade has a hollow edge which creates pockets of air to prevent extra thin or soft slices from sticking to the blade. The 8" (20cm) cook's knife is the most essential knife to have in your kitchen as it can be used for slicing, dicing, and mincing all kinds of food. It is perfectly balanced and acts as an extension of your hand with an ergonomic handle with a full bolster/finger guard for your safety and protection. (Caution: cook´s knives purposely have been ground extra thin for the ultimate cutting performance. Chopping through bones will damage the fine edge). The 5 1/2" (14cm) boning knife is designed for ease when de-boning chicken or ham, and trimming fat and sinew. It's tapered, pointed blade is a necessity for working closely around joints. The 6 1/4" (16cm) cleaver has a large, heavy blade in order to split bones. It is made from one solid piece of steel (Chromium-Molybdenum-Vanadium). The 8" (21cm) kitchen shears are a great helper in the kitchen, and can be used from snipping herbs to opening packets. Made from stainless steel.
